Boring in VOWS

The City of Fort Worth contracted with Spectrum to increase accessibility to high speed internet for Fort Worth residents. The city is two years into a five year plan and while there are serious benefits to this project, the current impact is incredibly frustrating. The Associations Board of Directors and onsite staff are advocating on behalf of residents at meetings held with the City and contractors. Below are answers to the most commonly asked questions.

  1. Who do I contact about damage or issues?
Check for damage immediately after work is completed and report any damages to Spectrum as soon as possible. While the contractors have a right to bore, they do have an obligation to repair damages. The Construction Manager for our area is Aaron Farish who can be reached at 214.370.6210. and Aaron.farish@charter.com. The individual subcontracted teams have more specific points of contact listed on signs the contractors place close to their job sites.

  2. Will my property value be affected?
The long-term goal is to improve services, which could benefit property values, though we understand current disruptions are frustrating.

  3. Can I stop the work on my property?
Unfortunately nothing can be done to change the routs of installation. The Association’s Board of Directors and Onsite Management are communicating with City officials and Spectrum on your behalf to limit the amount of disruption.
